To support OFTEC registered businesses during the busy winter period, OFTEC is waiving its usual fees for extension to scope applications and additional technicians.
From 1st November to 31st December 2026, OFTEC registered businesses can add technicians to their business or extend their scope of registration at no additional cost.
What's included?
The offer applies to:
Adding new technicians to an existing OFTEC registration.
Extending the scope of an existing OFTEC Competent Person Scheme (CPS) registration.
How to apply
To add a technician or extend your scope, complete the Add technician/Extension of scope form on the online Portal.
Applications must be received between 1st November and 31st December 2026 to qualify for the offer.

What fees are being waived?
The usual onboarding fee, which normally covers application processing, updates to certification documents and inspection costs where applicable.
How long will the change remain active?
Any approved technician additions or scope extensions will remain in place until your current registration expiry date.
Will I pay for the additional scope or technician at renewal?
Yes. The relevant changes will be reflected in your next renewal fee.
Does the offer apply to all registration schemes?
No. This offer applies only to OFTEC Competent Person Scheme (CPS) registrations.
Extensions into other schemes, including MCS, PAS 2030 and TrustMark, remain chargeable.
Is this offer open to everyone?
No. The offer is available only to businesses that were already registered with OFTEC before 1st November 2026. Businesses joining OFTEC on or after this date are not eligible for the offer.
