Renewables registration

In the coming years, the UK must meet tough targets for carbon emission reduction. Domestic renewable heating technology is seeing significant growth and OFTEC renewables registration, particularly MCS certification, enables installers to maximise this business opportunity.

At OFTEC we don't run our own solar heating courses, however we do accept accredited courses from other organisations for registration.

The training you will need

Applicants for our renewables registration will need to hold either proof of personal certification and/or qualifications regulated/mapped to QCF or RQF for the technologies they wish to apply for. Training must have been undertaken within the last five years.

For Solar Thermal or Biomass technologies, or if you have an existing heat pump qualification, please see the MCS website for a list of qualifications that are acceptable for MCS registration.
